Is anyone able to explain camd.socket to me, regarding how it's used and it's purpose etc?
I've searched on camd.socket and I have found some information but I'm still a bit unclear. Info regarding different emus but I assume the concept is the same? --- gbox uses a file (pmt.tmp) to read the pids of the channel This file has been somewhat obsolete and most enigma2 images do not generate, in return have a socket (camd.socket) which gives us similar information to pmt.tmp Read and write camd.socket pmt.tmp, so you can retrieve gbox pids of channel This option lets me open the channels without problems: F: {08} 1 / / pmt mode (0 - pmt file mode, 1 - pmt socket mode) Launch pmtserver creates /tmp/pmt.tmp reading the camd.socket Then launch the cccamd pmtserver that creates .listen.camd.socket reading /tmp/pmt.tmp Then launch ccamnd daemon itself and finally launch enigma.. things should work ... --- Code:
