You really need to firstly establish if this box is an old one with 16mb memorry, or the later type with 32mb

The LCD bmon screen at boot will tell you this; the bottom row of figures will read something like 8-0-16 or 8-0-32

Or, telnet in and df to see how much space tmp has. If this box is 16mb memory only, then put it back in the loft, m8

as long as your not using the free internal extra memory slot with an ide hdd interface then you should be able to upgrade memory. assuming the old sat version
has the free extra memery slot that is.

And there was me thinking that the old Nokia 16mb dboxes couldn't have an extra 16mb memory card added; we learn summat new every day...

OK, once you have this box in 32mb setup, that should cure your backup/flash issues, as you'll then have shedloads of free space in the /tmp folder.

Renwich might have to help a bit regarding getting cccam working, as I'm not sure if this required added code in the neutrino binary, or if it was just a not so obvious bolt-on for the pmt support lacking in neutrino.

A different /var/tuxbox/ucodes/cam-alpha.bin driver might be needed as well, since the version in your image is probably optimized for cable, rather than Sat.

Cheers- AL

EDIT 2 - just done a backup and it has saved it to the tmp no problem

EDIT 3 - been messing about with it today and i got it to scan in the end! Yippee lol After alot of messing about lol And i also tried a PB image which i have had on before which i knew scanned anyway and got that to work with cccam! Now the only thing is that image is horrid lol So i now know that the box works fine and i can get it to scan ok ect ect will i have to look into building a image from the begining or will i be able to alter the commando one to use cccam? Personally, I would stick with C12 for the next stage of this exercise, and would check my PM Inbox in case anyone has offered any helpful tips that are taboo subjects in the open forums...
