epgfilter.xml files

Have put the channels into the eprfilter.xml file, uploaded to zapit, file is chmod, on d box press blue button, scroll to read epg set it to on, exit, when i go back in the epg is set back to off,how do i reset so as it reads epg as all i`m getting is waiting on time , THX

Nope- I can't replicate that here, m8- it's ON and stays ON. Mebee a bad flash? It's also set ON by default...

Only if you switched it from the default ON to off, then did something else that made the image go Read Only, so now- it won't let you change the OFF back to ON.

Try editing something in FTP to see if it saves. If it won't- reflash time!

now getting epg`s on channels, but it is taking a very very long time in updating it`s self, could this be something to do with the way iv`e got the channels loaded in the epgfilter.xml file, i have uploaded the xml file, to see if it helps ??

I'd be better able to check out your filter file if you simply rarred the actual xml file, rather than pouring M$ Word all over it, LOL!

You do realise you need to switch to the PVR_EPG channel for 5 minutes or so, in order to suck the 7 Days EPG data into the box, don't you? I do this automatically, with a set of of Daily overnight Timers, which you can view (and adjust) with Blue > Yellow. So I always have 7 Days available.

The Shutdown timer effectively empties the current EPG Cache, ready for a fresh one to be pulled in. But if you're one of those peeps who unplugs everything at the socket each night, and even removes the aerial lead from the TV in case of a lightning strike- then forget that idea...

PaphosAL im a total Cheera knob at all this m8, even trying to run a computer.. lol.. anyway hopefully iv`e uploaded the epg.xml file again, but not rar,,, have left your timer for 4am, and added a standby for 5am, i started to get the epg today slow but it is now showing only in the channel i`m watching, now m8 what is RVR_EPG channel,,Cheers AL,,

NO! FreddyFrog's latest version of sectionsd is Now 'n Next EPG only, by default. If you delete epgfilter.xml - there will be no change to the duration of EPG.

Have a look at how Wullboy's filter file looks, m8. It's a dead easy copy 'n paste exercise, using your bouquets.xml file for the source data. Just copy in the 100 (ish) channels you DO want long EPG for, so that all the shite channels NOT in the filter will be short EPG only!

Otherwise- overwrite bin/sectionsd with an older version from your previous image...

The Provider is DigiTV in Thor Sat 0.8 °West. The Epg is multi language but only first language EPG showing. I need Hungarian EPG.
