Hi one an all; I know the original post is closed but here goes. I have a "Sagem" box and am using laky-august by gav12345;this is the only image that will give me FTA;but to load the other info in I need to use FTP,which has worked on other boxes. I get the IP Adress from the box;I then input the number into the IP address on the FTP yet it says unable to connect. Now all the IP is correct the user name is root and the password is box2.
Any simple help would do?

Try password dbox or dbox2 and the box IP in the Network Settings menu needs to be in the same range as the static address you have for the NIC in your PC (or the router, if connecting via one)
My example: Router IP- 192.168.0.1 dBox2 Office: IP- 192.168.0.3 | Gateway- 192.168.0.1 dBox2 Bedroom: IP- 192.168.0.5 | Gateway- 192.168.0.1 dBox2 Lounge: IP- 192.168.0.4 | Gateway- 192.168.0.1 Cheers- AL

I always have DHCP set to OFF
If you're on XP, then go Start > Run > cmd <enter> for a DOS console Then type in: ipconfig /all <enter> and see what IP your NIC is under the 'Generic' listings at the bottom. AL ![]() ps- I edited both our posts to correct a typo I made in my router's IP addy, which might have caused confusion |
