Update on the previous c10 dream image

Cable scan works now.

shellexec works, it has cryos'menu's, the commando set my locations and commando 7 day epg (made my sisters box unresponsive), removed the ucodes and hdd sections from the commando menu as not relevant to the dm500 box and a menu to switch from cable fast scan to sat scanning.

The scanning is set to cable by default.
There is also a setmylocations area in the service menu.

No roms, keys or emu's this image is released as fta only.

@ migz

Sorry to ruffle your feathers buddy............

It's real difficult knowing all the good guys from all the forums..........

My initial reaction..........in hindsight...........was wrong..........

As I said, given your record elsewhere ( which was unknown to me ) I fully accept you are going to be a welcome addition to our forum.

I hope we can start over and become friends here at ukcvs.

All the best

Rod

Scruff's next job is to convert Enigtrino to work on DM!!

I have very little space left, on dw they don't like the button layout on the remote, I havn't the time to work out how to change the keys so compile 1 neutrino with one set of remote keys in the rcinput.cpp and another neutrino with the other remote keys and swap neutrino files via symlinks so instead of 1 X 1.5mb I have 2 X 1.5 mb files, will have to take a look at your file shrinking method.

With the dreamboxes about 95% of images are enigma and only recently have we been able to make our own neutrino images, before that it was only rudbox that could make neutrino images and they used non standard bouquet/service files and kept their methods secret.

Neutrino images are still in their infant stages as there are some hardware differences, give it time and there will be many more about thus increasing choice for us ex dbox2 users that like myself prefer neutrino images.

To be honest I can't stand enigma and only worked on the dw dream enigma images because there wasn't anything else I could work on, havn't used enigma since I got the 3 minute fast scan to work on the dm500 box.

My next project after the release of dw neutrino v1 will be to play with freddyfrogs diffs to see if I can get the 7day epg working, put in his posted diffs but nothing happened and don't have the time to trawl through the code at the moment.

Given time there will be an Enigtrino image to play with.

Have Fun

thanks for all your hard work in producing this image for the dream scene.

as you know I'm a dboxer..................but after flashing this image last night to my mates 500c I felt completely at home.............

I'm a newbie as far as the dreamboxes are concerned............but this was a piece of piss to set up...............and the workings and functionality is the best i've encountered in the dream world................

thanks ever so much mate

all the best

Installed last night - great image. Blue button menus are nice, lots to get to grips with. Super quck compared to my dbox, not tested the 7-day-bit yet so might have a fiddle later. seemless for the wife to get used to.

1 thing; Screen Ratio. Now, i'm not sure whether this is how the dm500 works OR whether it's something to do with the image. When on my dbox2, i have the TV set to 16:9 and the settings on the dbox also 16:9. Then, any 4:3 broadcasts it would have the black bars down the side ( i know it's the box/provider doing this as my telly would put GREY bars down the side) However, now with those settings, any 4:3 broadcasts are simply stretched thus distoring peoples heads.

is it the box hardware handling it or the image? i tested all the different settings but couldn't get it to display properly. I might try an enigma image 1 night this week when i get chance, just to see if it's any different.

You must have led a very sheltered life if you didn't know that .rar files are packed- so need uncompressing with WinRAR prior to sending the full-size image to the box, m8. Similar to zip files and WinZip...

Furthermore- this is a Dreambox image, not dBox2!!!
