Dream 600PVR some info Please if ya can Ta

Hi Lads got myself a dm600pvr hhd attached after having a play around with the 500c for the last few weeks but in looking there really is not that many images that I can see off for the 600 or is there,,so what im asking is anyone here that has any experience with them I know some but dont want to pm ya,s lol or can give me a few pointers in the right direction would be very gratefull regarding your favorite image you used or an image you have heard of that would be grant so if you can help abit it would be great and if not ,not to worry I will find it eventually thanks in advance,

some images to try are pli jade /pli iolite/cli dm600/gemini440 dm600/peterpan dm600/nabilosat images/ and the noob dm600 img i agree there isnt the same choice as you have with the 500 or the dbox but the imgs are solid the ones i have tried any way now for a fav i think my personal fav was cli just because the picture quality i think that was the best all my images are on my other pc and my inlaws have my box as im playing with the d500 i gave them.
The nuetrino image that reny was making for the 500 was cool just like the dbox now if the development was as good for the 600 as it is for the 500 that would be cool a nuetrino 600 image.

Well guys bought it yesterday got it today very good postage and am happy enough although the remote feels like its on its way out got it of ebay payed a fair bit of money for it but less than 12 hours delivery so I will just get a new one. The image that was on it was jade 20080717 pretty good looking image,,I like the different osd skin changes on it, done all that needed done to it and got everything I needed and more ,,one thing I noticed was after I done a scan I now have 2 of everthing in the services but different provider numbers and they work hmmm,anyway there is no manual with it so im more or less playing blind with it ,got it recording and looks great was able to find the videos play them and delete them ,,can the 600 record one channel and watch another as I had read this in the forums as when I was recording I could not change channel??? I have made a backup of the image I have seen posts and read tuts on backing up through telnet ,,but can I not just use the usaual Dreamup and dreambox edit to back up my image and bouquets ,,well I know dreambox edit is ok as I was able to put my own services backup onto the 600 any thoughts will be grand

use the latest version of dreamup works with all dreamboxes
recording you can watch another channel on the same transponder
Q)is it a clone can you change the tuner

Hi m98 when I first got it i opened it up straight away looking to see if I could change it and I don t know as it did ,nt look like it could lol



But if I have to chechk I will have to ,,so here goes I f you dont hear from me for the next million years I dont want anyone talking to me so beat it ya tosser lol

i did not say to remove the tuner did your seller say it was a clone the tuners in the original are plug and play but in the clone they only come with a fixed tuner the reason i ask is that dream multi media added a time bomb thing for the d500 in some(gemini) images but im not sure if this would apply to the 600 though but just in case i would stay clear of the gemini images.

Hi Johny m8 I get up first thing this morning and opened up and it has the removable tunner so thats my next thing to get now more money so does that mean that its a real 600 then ,,I still have not been able to get my backup from it so a lot more reading ,,I tried telnet,and Dcc,, ftp and cannot get a back up from it,it is telling me that bootmanager not found when I use Dcc,,and when using Dreamup it is telling me that the box is in networked HTTP mode and will not let me make a backup off it ,,I really want to get this image backed up before I do any playing with it thanks for your help and I was only joking you when I said leave me alon tosser lol so dont be taking it the wrong way cheers
