DM600c PVR - Reflashing help

Hey guys,

Needed to reflash my DM600c with the PLi image (got the image and the needed files).

Decided to follow Magnu's web tut ... from here and did the flash erase as suggested via Telnet.

Now, the pvr won't start... i.e. it shows just a red standby light and won't startup from the remote or via the button.

What did I do wrong, what should I do next to get the PLi image back on? BTW - I've got both cables - null modem & crossover.

Please help... gotta figure this one out before the wife finds out I've gone and fooked her serials up !

Update : Have used DreamUp to upload the image. The issue has now seemingly moved...!

Have seemingly setup the box but it wont scan the services. Keeps coming back with no signal found, please check cable connection! Which incidently, is ok.

Anyway, trying to load the old MrDude's image back so as to fix the box at the moment... but really want the latest image on as MrDude's image is getting a bit buggy on my box. Hence the reason to re-flash.

Again - all help is much appreciated.

The original pli image doesn't come with a UK cables.xml file m8, you'll need to install that on your box before you can scan or you won't find any services because you're box won't know which transponders to scan.

You might be in luck in a few days though as my m8 has a dreambox 600 and want's me to sort it out for him with the latest software (and a few mods) - so I might back it up and post it on the net when I am finished.

Ahh...!! Wise words from the prophet himself !! A pleasure to finally speak to you MrDude... been using your image from day 1 since I got my DM600. A big fan...

Update: Went back to your image (I had a backup - learnt to keep one the hard way). But, you raise a good point... I hadn't checked that... its been a good while since I've played the dreambox, so I suppose the ignorance/inexperience has crept back in. Got some time next weekend... so will most certainly try this out. Here's keeping my fingers crossed that you've got the new version out by then .

Hey m8, my mate just went on holiday so I got his dreambox 600 off him and have flashed it with jade 3 and added a couple of extra features all done by using ppanels.

Ie - the stuff you really need - like backing up your keys, roms, services, making a dreambox nfi image, internet radio, mp3 streamer....etc.

If you still need this let me know and I'll upload it somewhere for you.
