Unable to find channels.

Hi guys i have the dreamworld neutrino box and have had no problems with it up to now however my epg wasnt working so i decided to reboot the system to see if it would go back to normal and i am now getting a message telling me the box is unable to find channels. When i scan for channels it finds them all but after leaving scan mode continues to say unable to find channels, can anyone help me? Thanks.

Your question is so confusing.....

After your comments in the SB, we can now assume the image is digitalworldz dream neutrino on a Dm500 box?

When you say reboot, do you really mean re-boot? or Reflash?

Yes that is the box i have. I went into menu and reboot thinking this would maybe sort out the epg but after rebooting it just says error no channels found please use scan option, however when i do this it finds all the channels then again says no channels found. Apologies if this isnt clear enough.

OK, I understand better, I have seen this issue with Neutrino, I think you mean during the scan, it finds channels (does it actually list channel names, not just transponders).
Then at the end of the scan says nothing found?

I think you just need to change the scan options (AND remember to save them before a new scan).

I don't use Neutrino much, hopefully PaphosAL, Renwich or scruff1963 will see this post and explain better as they know better about this image.

Yeah thats exactly what it does re the channels, what do i change the scan option to, i'm basically going into this blindly?

is the box network connetced,..?? if so you can use telnet to connect to it to run some diags

No its just wired up to my cable box. Do you have any idea why it cant find the channels? does this happen often? i bought the box from a friend and dont really know the ins and outs other than switching it on an watching sky

ok so you have a computer, and a dm500, have you ever flashed a new image onto the box, if so how did you do it
