DM7000 Commando Image

Hi,
thanks for the image, runs great.
I tried to put in a german locale, but due to the folder is write protected, i can´t copy it into it. Is there a possibility to get it in there ?

Btw, i have an DM7000S standing around waiting for Neutrino, is there a possibility (for someone) to compile the Commando Image for the DM7000 ?

PaphosAl can help you more when he sees this post though.

As for a 7000, if you are willing to be a tester, then maybe Laz or Renny can make you a custom image to try as non of us have a 7000 to test with.

Sure i would do the testing for the DM7000, as i can see there is absolutely no new Neutrino images or support available. Think there will be interest from other guys also, if there is something for the old lady......

As it is holiday season here, it may be a week or so before Laz or Renny can do you a 7000 image, but when Paphos wakes up, I'm sure he can sort out a German Locales for your 500 box.

Have a german one already created / compared and updated with the one from the command image, only need to get it in....

and about the 7000 image, i have no problem waiting, as there are no other possibilities to get something, no support from any other side for the old lady, so i am very glad if someone here will help me out with that....

Neutrino Image attached to test if you're interested:
Made from ukcvs svn with added extras menu. Default English lang - German lang included but not patched for extra menus, not Max-var & no shellexec plugins etc

Compiled OK for DM7000 satellite box. (./configure --with-boxtype=dreambox --with-boxmodel=dm7000 ).

I have no way of testing...... so back-up before and use at your own risk please!

Hi,
so after first flashing, image is not starting. Tried to flash it directly with DreamUp and also installed it with Multiboot on Flashwizard, nothing happens. The only thing that shows up is the "Dream Multimedia" logo and a black screen appears, then the box is stuck in hell.


Btw, think it´s the best if one of the moderators / administrators can move this coversation to another thread, as it was not my intention to mess this thread up

I guess the next step is to build a clean non-modded image from the svn here and from tuxbox to see if they boot on a 7000?

I have just got back home so can do one later this week, but hopefully Tyke can do one before then to test?

When the image boots, have you tried running an app such as hyper terminal to see if the 7000 gives an error via the comport?
