I can confirm i received two openbox DM500's this morning and flashed them both with C 14.4 and both are suffering with the same blackouts at random times for maybe a second or so and then continuing as normal sometimes the sound is not even interupted.

Not sure how much i can help but if there anything i can do with full instructions to assist the test let me know

Many Thanks

Excellent Tutorial on Catching the Bootlog

Please Find attached mine for an openbox DM500 Clone, i have two of these showing the same symptoms as described I have not checked if it’s the image or the box yet my next job is to flash one of them with PLI or something to see if there is no issue with that

Hopefully this helps

Important to note is this has a LAN Connection but No Sat Connection as its to far away from the desktop with the COM Port

In the mean time any suggestions on a image safe for this box with an epg?

Thanks

Thanks for the excellent feedback, stingray! While others (like Renwich, LraiZer and Satsearching) digest this info, can I possibily ask you to switcch to FreeSat EPG for a day or two, just to see if C14.4 then becomes stable on your box, please?

Only, LraiZer suspects that Auntie is fooking around with her dat coding, and that this might be upsetting sectionsd as it currently stands...

Cheers- AL

Ok i can say that unless its running even when disabled this has nothing to do with RT EPG this still happens on FTA and Subscribe Channels when using now and next, and this has been over several reboots and several tries

I have tried everything i can think of but can't work out what is happening it is like the AV is getting intrupted on my other DM 500 (which is a clone) it is spot on perfect these two openboxs its shocking.

As you can't replicate the fault i am happy to send one of the developers a box to try help fix this or do what you ask as long as you have good instructions like the bootlog catching

Regards

xp0_clk_start
VIDEO_SELECT_SOURCE
close video clip-mode
VIDEO_PLY / VIDEO_CONTINUE, state 1 1
PCM enabled
PES or MPEG1
spdif mode = e0c0
val=0011d
UDIO_SELECT_SOURCE
[CBasicClient] connect failed.
/tmp/camd.socket: Connection refused
fe: read ret=-121
[zapit] LOCK LOST! trying rezap... channel: 'ITV2+1'
xp0_clk_stop
VIDEO_STOP, state 0
UDIO_CLER_BUFFER
disable continuous tone
disable continuous tone
[CFrontend::getEvent] FE_COMPLETION_EV: freq 1141000 inv: 0 sr: 22000000, fec: 0

i don't understand it but it seems to display this every time it blackout, i hope this helps and any suggestions are welcome

Then after that I can honestly say I have have had the worst "flu" I have had in many years...done my ribs in through coughing ect. Glad to see the discussion continuing and rest assured If I can be of any help in the new year when I have fully recovered then I will be back here contributing.
So just a wee sorry post from me guys.

Nooooo, just read the entire thread as i have also the exact same blanking issue on two Dm500 i purchased last week, but i see there was no fix found.
My other DM500's which were bought from a different vender dont have this blanking issue so im guessing some hardware was changed at some point.
What can do to help fix this problem as i would like to get to the bottom of it.
