Default editing an .xml file

when editing an .xml file for dm600 usin pli jade image can you use
normal windows text pad or is it summat else

the problem with normal text editor or notepad is it can copy and past spaces that can mess up the code on any edit.

i use ultraedit ive heard crimson editor or sommit like that isnt as gay as ultraedit.

iv found that dreamweaver cs3 does a pretty good jod of .xml files
