Yes, by default, commando uses commando as the password.

Did you buy the box new with Commando on it?

id be guessing its a fleabay box... seller buys job lot to get cheap price for own boxes, then seller sells extra unneeded boxes on fleabay after installing Commando14.2 to cover cost of own boxes.

yes commando v14.2 was already loaded on it, from ebay,
its a DM500-S all Black Front Receiver, supposed to be a 3.5 version, not sure what that means
not sure if its a clone, but don't really care, its works pretty good.
i already had a Motor, Satcontrol SM3D12 and 80cm Comag Dish setup, but i had a Lidl Silvercrest SL65 Receiver, nice little box to be honest but adding satellites to it is impossible with motor usals, you can add satellites but cannot input the motor direction for usals.
but i wanted to try something new so i got the Dreambox DM500-S, its ok, but I'm not overly keen on the commando firmware as of yet, it might grow on me will have to see

Well at the moment Commando is the only decent neutrino UK image to be had. Lrazier, Satsearching and Paphosal have worked wonders on this , if your not happy with it try Satsearchings E1 image

commando is a very powerful piece of kit, i think i just need to get used to it thats all

a couple of years ago i used to have a Dreambox Clone for uk Cable
it was called an Envision 500-C
that was good cos it made me get used to how these linux boxes work, flashing images, FTP ect. ect..
i used to have a couple of forum images on it, the first one was DigitalWorldz image, then i had the DigitalKaos image on it, i learnt a lot from that little clone
