FTP question

Hi All

Just got Dreambox 500 connected to my PC for first time.
using FTP (FileZilla)

And noticed that many of the files have a question mark in the folder and dont respond when clicked or atempting to copy to local PC

Is this normal.

Try Dream Control Center DCC295.

Does the "Dream Control Center" work / look like and FTP client.
I'm currently using FileZilla. or is it like the vertual web page controls
(Access vie IE using the IP address of the box 192.168.x.x)

Or totaly different altogether, i'll d/l and have a play around.

DCC has FTP, Telnet and tools. You can simply connect PC and DM 500 by cross over cable. Instal DCC295 on your PC, go to configuration of DCC, input IP of PC and DM 500 and other requested data in configuration tab. After that go to FTP tab. Left window shows data of DM 500 and right window show data (maps, files) on hard disc of your PC. You can copy data in both directions by blue arrows.

Because many of the files have a question mark in the folder and don't respond when clicked or atempting to copy to local PC (it lookes write protected)
I recomend you to change image in DM 500 to some of The Gemini Project 4.xx.

I'm not too clever with the dreamboxes.............but I know that most DM500's are clones............it is my understanding that if you flash a gemini image on the 500 clone you will brick the box !!!!

i am unable to connect via ftp, dcc
i can ping it its works fine, and i can view webclint but most of thme have lines on them.

have tried flashwizard, dcc and dream up get unable to connect check dream box ip or error 10057 socket error

running on commando

ive recently bought a DM500s, its got commando_v14.2
i tried to ftp to the box, but i dont know the user/pass
does anyone know this please.

i tried root/dreambox but no go,

edit: i tried, root / commando, that seems to take it, job done
