Default Schumacher

What you guys think, is Schumacher going to do the rumor comeback next season with Mercedes GP (was Brawn). Or will he continue to toss it off at Ferrari as a "consultant"

Could he still cut it if he drove again? Or if he drove and was past it, would he kill his cred?

Personally if he's goes to Brawn I think he's taking a massive gamble. If he does well, its will be great, but if he fails I think it will damage his cred and it will always be remembered, probably more than his good seasons.

Maybe, but I think if shumy wants to make a comeback, then his best option would be under Brawn.

Ross is a true genius (I bet Honda are kicking themselfs now). He won both titles without the best drivers........

Now Brawn is Mercedes GP, it is the ideal time for shumy to make a comeback, but I read that Brawn is against it.

If Mercedes wave enough wonga at him, and his neck is better, then of course he'll have a go. For the glory of the Fatherland, and farewell to Ferrari...

Remember that at 40, he's a lot fitter than some of the other guys on the grid who are way younger than him. And Rubens is no slouch either, at 38, going on 39...

I suppose it depends how well testing goes. When the FIA wouldn't let him test the Ferrari this Year, he threw his toys out of the pram and made a lame excuse as to why he couldn't drive.

If testing goes well, he will be in the car, if it doesn't then look out for the excuses.

i'm pretty sure he's still got the talent, i'd love to see him back - show them it's not always about the new upcoming drivers.

Well, the Schumacher rumor is gathering some credability!

Apparently, Schumacher has told Ferrari president (Luca di Montezemolo) that he intends a comeback with Mercedes, but still not 100% decided.

Personally, I think if he really is thinking of a comeback, then this is his best chance with a team like Mercedes and Ross Brawn, if it happens then I think 2010 will be a fun year in F1.

British dream team....
McLaren
Jenson Button
Lewis Hamilton

German Dream Team....
Mercedes GP
Nico Rosberg
Michael Schumacher

Anyway, keep an eye on BBC2 "Top Gear" tomorrow as Jenson has had a go at a lap in "The reasonably priced car"

BBC Sport - F1 - Jenson Button takes on Top Gear challenge

if shumi comes back for the silver arrows I think Rosberg should do off to another team, he dosnt want to get a rep like Barrichello or Irvine as shunis support drivers, Rosberg is too good for that

Well, todays reports claim he has already signed up to Mercedes for 2010 but not confirmed.

And his manager has said he is "Super Fit" and Schumacher's doctor says he is pleased with his progress regarding his neck injury.

Mercedes has said it won't announce it's 2nd driver to partner Rosberg untill the new year.

I just can't help feel that Shumacher is playing the press to lift his cred, but if so, he will drop away very quick (probably blaming his neck again).

'Last chance saloon' though if he is playing to press methinks
