Default Is there a linux receiver with built in actuator motor positioner?

As the title guys, i'm after a linux receiver with built in positioner to control a actuator motor. This is for a family member who is not that technical so really dont want to go down the route of a dreambox & seperate positioner if it can be avoided.

The dish installed is a big 1.2m channel master which I think is too heavy for a diseqc motor & dont really want to go through the hassle of swapping that either.

Let me know whats available please.

Thank you in advance.

Difficult one m8, I am not aware of one (there may be one) but to control a jack arm you are looking at something like a "SuperJack V-Box II". Apparently it can work transparent and automatically convert the disque signals to drive a conventional 36v jack.

TBH everything is going disque these days but 1.2M dish is really on the limit for a disque motor so I appreciate where you are coming from.

Do they really need such a big dish though? Going back some years I had a similar sized "John Levick" dish with jack arm etc but satellites these days are more powerfull and 1M here is more than enough for me now.

Way up the costs, approx £60 for a SuperJack V-Box II (with complications maybe?), but a new disque motor and 1M dish can be had for the same cost!

If a linux box does exist to control a jack arm, how popular is it? Is there a lot of image support?

SS is right sic i`m afraid m8, the older receivers use to have them built in, if i think right.
Most receivers now have the diseqc built in, and i have a 1.2 dish m8 and my motor works fine with it m8.
Just if you are going for such a high size dish you are better to get the extended arm on the diseq motor, but you should be ok with one on it.
Personaly if your not wanting to go diseqc motor then go for the V-Box but as also mentioned m8 by SS it would probs be better to go diseq motor than v-box as will be cheaper and if you do upgrade then you already have the motor.
I know such motors are only supposed to work right with up to 1m but i have had the 1.2 on mine and it worked fine, now i have a 1mtr as there isnt any need now for a 1.2 than when we realy needed them for the D2Mc days
