I've finally started the leap in to satellite. I've ordered my dreambox 518s, all I need now is my dish and motor etc. I've found this bundle on fleabay, looks good to me but I thought I'd ask for your more well informed opinions. Any ideas are greatly appreciated

Looks fine.
Have a look at wizard satellites for similar package deal that is a tad cheaper, but your ebay link is slightly better kit. SS

Thanks lads. Thanks for the suggestions. Just a couple daft questions tho. Are motek motors as good as technomate? Also I thought a 0.1db lnb is better than 0.3. Am I wrong? I might even order tonight, I'm overtiming on the night shift so I got a few extra pennies.

TBH, I got one of those motek motors for my dad, and I'm very well impressed with it, works a treat and no gear slack.
Yup, lower noise figure for lnb is better, but technically it is debatable on the figures the manufactures state. Generally, Technomate is very good gear, I spent too much in the past on cheap crap motors and LNB's that don't last. From what I have read recently, I would go for technomate now, but at the mo, I have a genuine stab motor (which has been more than great). Not sure what make LNB I have now, but I know it isnt an invacom as I had one of them that failed after 13 months. If my LNB failed now, I'd go for a technomate gold one. SS Quote:
