Default Clearing freesat channels

Finally got my motorised system up n running. I've not changed the image on my dm500s yet. I think it's on Gemini 2.60. I've done a scan of 28.2e and found the channels, but majority of them won't clear. Obviously I know the sky ones won't, but channels you find on freesat like Fiver or E4 also bring up the channel could not be descrambled message. I thought these were FTA. I'm new to the dreambox so don't know if I need a cam or not for these. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers

Phil

on sky free sat, you still need a basic sky freesat card to clear those channels, BBC one BBC two ITV will clear no problem

I thought freesat got e4 and fiver, five USA etc though. Does freesat use a different satellite to bskyb? Those kits you can get from b and q get all the channels so I assume a dream is more than capable.

The problem is, Fiver, Five usa etc are not part of freeview, have a look below

Free Digital TV Channels - freesat

Fiver, Five usa etc are part of Freesat from sly.

You need a freesat card from sly for the few that you can't clear. £20 one off payment, no subscription, you can order one online direct from sly but you need a slybox or a slybox serial number to prove you have a sly box when ordering.

But you can put the card in a dm no probs....

Affraid not! I assumed they were on freesat as they're on freeview. It was channels like e4, more4 etc that weren't working

I believe you can buy a card from sky or that auction website, one off fee.. That gives the channels that are free on sky & not freesat.
