While I-Phone is selling like hot cakes globally, a rival has emerged in the form of HTC Touch. Barely bigger than a credit card, HTC’s Touch features similar touch screen controls to Apple’s celebrated world innovator, you swipe your finger up the screen to enter the touch menu, then pull left or right, like turning pages in a book, to switch between menus. Of course you can also use a stylus, if you absolutely loathe finger marks.
It also comes with a two-meg snapper, Windows Mobile 6 and a Micro SD slot for loading on tunes. HTC Touch is Comparatively lighter than Apple iPhone. HTC Touch weighs 112g while iPhone weighs 135g. iPhone has a bigger screen size (3.5inches) compared to HTC Touch (2.8inches) Both phones come with two megapixels camera and Wi-Fi facility. HTC touch has two colour options: green or black while Apple’s iPhone come in elegant Black or Silver. The good thing about HTC Touch is it features an advanced touch screen that allows users to operate the smart phone with fingertips like iPhone. Nevertheless, the tiny onscreen keyboard is quite difficult to enter text and the TouchFLO feature doesn’t work in landscape mode. The SIM card and microSD slots are hard to access. Also, the speakerphone quality is poor, and the device can be sluggish at times. If you don’t fancy Apple’s iPhone for one reason or another, HTC Touch might be another option to be considered. I have an HTC Touch Diamond, would anyone be able to tell me where the micro sd card go`s. My handset is from Tmobile and I was under the impression that the memory was not expandable.

Not a greatest fan of iPhone but I will never buy any Windows Mobile device again... I had HP 6515 (WM 2003), then FSC T830 (WM5 and then WM 6.1) and I give up - all of them suffered from extremly slow response on phone features, hangups, missed calls etc. I would go for a Symbian phone.

I've had an HTC TyTN II since last September and I love it. I love the keyboard, touch screen, windows apps, Opera Mini (a must for all pda phones), GPS for TomTom, Wifi for when you're at the in-laws, etc.
I really like the look of some of the newer HTC phones as well as some of the new Samsung phones but I don't think I would go for teh iPhone. I had a shot of one last year and just didn't like it, don't know why lol. |

I had the HTC duel and at first i was impressed with it new toy and all that but the more i lived with it the more things started to change my mind the most annoying was the touch pad seemed far to sensitive i was forever pressing stuff with my ears ( and there not too big before you say it ) also as the time went on the signal seemed to be weaker places i would have always been fine now were a no go area and if i spent to long in the no go area i would not get a signal back until i switched it off saying that i was when the duel first came out and im sure there much better now but given the choice i would go for the i phone if i had to, but tbh honest im more than happy with my viewty sad i know

have recently upgraded my old HTC TYPHOON to a HTC S740. lovin it so far, seems like a pretty wicked piece of kit. only gripes are that there is only autosetup for contract settings, you have to search internet for and manually input payandgo settings yourself. tomtom that worked on the typhoon no longer works on the s740. McGuider however does work and kicksTomToms ass anyway.

The problem of the HTC is probably the OS. Windows mobile is not very user friendly and the design is not mobile oriented. But HTC added their own interface on top of Window mobile, quite nice but it is slowing down the all system:
iphone, if you bear itunes.. |

You don't necessarily require iTunes to manage your music on the iPhone/iPods. Its a bit of a round-about way to do things, but if you're up to it, it can yield good & satisfying results ;p.
You'll just need to enable the iPod as a portable hdd in order to use this. Floola ... get it from >>HERE<< - Will let you upload songs/videos from ANY computer! - No getting locked to a computer... OR A LIBRARY ! - Will let you download songs/videos to ANY computer!
