Virgin Media closing Trouble...

Virgin Media is planning to close its teen-oriented Trouble channel, as part of its plan to sell off its portfolio of TV channels.
No date's been set for the closure of the channel, which is being axed because its target audience of young teenagers is less lucrative a target market for advertisers than younger children or 16-34-year-olds.

Meanwhile, Virgin Media is set to expand the LIVING brand, with LIVING2 receiving a makeover and rebrand. Trouble is also likely to be replaced by a LIVING-branded channel, as a Virgin spokesperson revealed to Media Week: "LIVING2 will be renamed later in the year and given a clearer personality and proposition. We are exploring the possibility of launching a third LIVING-branded channel this year, which would probably replace Trouble on the EPG. No firm decisions have been taken yet."
