Default Porting your BT line to Sipgate

If you have more than one phone line in your home or office, you should consider porting your BT number over to Sipgate (only BT at present).
Sipgate do not charge for a voip line with them so by switching to VOIP you are saving £11.50 each month

Porting the number costs £20 so in less than two months you have covered the cost and can use your number wherever you have voip access.

From the sipgate website :-

Quote:
Usually, it is possible to keep your (BT) telephone number and move it over to sipgate.

To check, if you're number can be ported, please contact our support and send the telephone number you would like to move over. If it's possible, we will send you two forms. You will then have to fill them out and to send them back to us signed.
