Default No caller id on others phones when i call using pa2(aka spa 1001)

So this is a problem Ive only just noticed. I can call out on my converted pap2. But whoever I call gets a withheld number displayed on their phone. This is across the board ie mobiles and landlines. Im using just line 1 at the moment (Im still deciding what to put on line 2).
Now if I use my software (Voipstunt) to call out I successfully send out "my" number (I have configured my Voipstunt software so that I can switch between my mobile number appearing on the recipients handset, or if Im at home I set it to send out my landline number (This obv assumes that my recipients have caller ID).
I have set this up in the my account settings on voipstunt as well as in the software itself. I assumed that the settings I had made in my account would be automatically transferred when I set up my account on my pap2(Spa 1001).
So the question is what have i missed ? Is there a setting somewhere in the pap2 (I have checked and couldn't find one) where I can set the number that is displayed when I call out ?
Hope my post is clear enough. Any ideas/suggestions are appreciated.

I know I know the answer - but the brain is fuddled after a lot of voip work for the last couple of days.
Thought I sorted PaphosAL out with the same problem?
I will get back to you with a fix asap.

Think I remembered the solution (while I was in bed), but afraid as much as I would have liked to, I was not getting up to post a message

I searched out on the net but came up a blank and then remembered that it was not a PAP2, but Satsearching's Gigaset phone in this forum ....

There is an option somewhere to enable or disable Calling number presentation, can't remember where though, I had the same problem a couple of Years ago when I first got one.

Well I've scoured through my PAP2 config- and cannot find any mention of my local number in there at all. But my voipstunt number certainly displays to the outside world...

So maybe this is an option you can choose to allow or deny in the settings for your VOIP account, rather than locally on your PAP2?

Cheers- AL

Ok guys thanks for all the replies/suggestions.
@ Mike557 - I did as suggested but it forced my voipbuster account offline mate. I tried it with the use auth box ticked and unticked same result....

@ PaphosAl. - I have already got my home number configured in my voipbuster account settings so that's a no go as well, but thanks for the input mate. Also bear in mind I have converted my pap2 to the SPA 1001

@Lincsat - I think my caller id issues must be related to what you are mentioning. Possibly under the "Region Tab" but im not sure about messing with any of that as I dont want to fook the whole thing up lol

Another thing I have noticed is my time and date keeps reverting back to 00:00 01/01/2003 - Even when I change this I get up next morning and its all gone back to 2003 - Not all that important but deffo weird.

I have just updated the firmware from what ever it was (cant remember off hand) to the "latest" one included in Mr Dude's app. But alas it has made no difference.

I have looked around for a few apps that i used to have access to (Localisation wizard and SPA Config wizard) and there was also another app that let you make a backup of your current config incase you decided to tinker and got lost ect, but I cant find these either. Oh well I will keep at it. Thanks again for the suggestions/input guys.

Scrap the last reply RE Mike557's post. You are infact 100% correct. This is how I just done it -
Under the Line details;
In User ID, enter your verified phone number, this can be in international format or standard UK format.

Set Use Auth ID to YES

Then enter your Betamax VoIP User ID into Auth ID.

My mistake was not re entering my voipbuster details in Auth ID - I should really start reading you guys replies more carefully It would save me and you lot a heck of a lot of time and searching. Sorry for the confusion, But glad its all up and running now.

I was just logging on to ask you to give my suggestion another try, and saw your post.
Glad that it is now working and glad that you updated the post which will help others

Anyone using a PAP2 or reflashed box could benefit from this if using one of the Betamax/Finarea companies. You can get any number presented as long as you have access to the landline and register it with Betamax.

So this would work for my PAP2 on voipstunt, Mike? I mean, if I want my VM Landline number to show, instead of the local voip number. Providing I verify the VM number onto my voipstunt a/c?

Cheers- AL

Yes AL, you can present the VM number as described above
The fact that you have a number with voipstunt does not matter (I have and override it).
If no clid is passed then betamax will use your default registered landline number.
