Create a new account with selected Betamax companies and add 15 euros. You get 14 euros credit which lasts 360 days plus the equivalent of a landline (normal) telephone number.

Is it a geographic number, ie 01, 02,03, or one of the semi-premium 0844, 0871, or even a premium rate 09, 05?

It 'should' be any geographic prefix and number you care to choose, Linsat- like I had originally from Voipstunt- same area code as my VM landline, m8. But you could choose a different area entirely (I think), as this suits some peeps too...

Obviously English is not their first language but as Al has already mentioned they always used to provide a 'free' landline number. Now they are charging 1 euro which is good value. It means you do not need to have an account with sipgate for incoming and another with betamax for outgoing

Apart from Sipgate (and now betamax), getting an incoming voip line meant you had to pay a monthly subscription.

With BT introducing their latest price cuts (£4.95 for unlimited calls), 300 minutes for 7 days does not sound so good. Introducing the landline number gives Betamax the advantage (just) I think...
