Haven't tried this, coz I can't afford luxuries like iPhones...

Can't afford luxuries like this either but I was lucky enough to get an android handset (samsung) for my birthday and I was well impressed with Fring - you just need to setup the SIP settings properly and off you go (I use internetcalls.com)... it does the main IM as well all at the same time
