If nothing has been changed on the PAP2, then the problem logically is elsewhere.

Start by rebooting the PAP2.

Notice you have dhcp disabled - is that intentional, and are you certain the IP address is not used by something else (try pinging from another device). Make sure the DNS details are correct.

Standard question - what has changed in the month?

With registration failures using the correct credentials, I would be looking at firewall. Try powering cycling your router.

Have you got any port forwarding configured on the router for sip?

The more detail you supply the better the diagnosis

rebooting hard reset that will take pap2 back to its original stae yes?
dhcp is intentional.

upnp is on on the router so i belive no need to configure
ok will disables both firewalls and report back ie kaspersky and windows.

Just a normal reboot - Not a hard reset.

upnp will not open the correct ports on the router, you should use proper port forwarding.

Firewalls on PC's do not need to be disabled - I meant the firewall on the router.

To prove the port forwarding, you could try and put the ip address of the PAP2 into a DMZ (if your router supports this). Assuming this works - which it should, you can do a quick search for port numbers to forward for your providers.

Certainly sounds pretty dead - which is surprising.

Make sure the DNS and gateway details are correctly configured.

Re-enter the account details into the PAP2.

You said you were able to use a softphone - is this xlite and have you tried both accounts on it i.e. sipgate and voipcheap?

Is the PAP2 actually working - try dialing four stars **** followed by 110#

If everything checks out then I think the only thing to try is a hard reset, and possibly a re-flash

just come to post back

and you are spot on m8

ok what happened was the box was configured to be DHCP when everything was working.

for some reason there may been a clash of ip or something but it went dead.

so i gave it its old ip static so know i needed to fill out the dns.

i put my gateway ip in and all working now.

thanks m8 and sorry for the time waste

That is gr8 - and thanks for updating the thread.

It is not a waste as someone else may have similar problems and the possible solution is here.
