Default Swapping out Drives

hi all, probably a stupid question..... but here goes

i have a liteon drive to which i can not get the keys from, as i dont have a probe, so i wanted to put in a benq drive, but after ipreping it and it telling me it was successful, i find that every game i put into it, it tells me that i need to put the disc in to an 'xbox360'........

after shouting at the screen stating the obvious, 'it is in a f***ing xbox360' i am still at a loss

can someone help clear my mind up on this one please...... without laughing and jokes LOL LOL

You need the key from the original drive (liteon).

The dvdkey is stored both in the drive and on the console itself, if they don't match then no go.

That's why you need the original drive key. If you want to swap out the drive, you need to insert this key into the new drive for it to work.
