Hello just want know my boy want a game console just want know which is best i know the xbox has more games too choose from but i have herd of this ring of death can anyone help

if it RROD's (red ring of death) within 3 years of buying new - you get it fixed for nowt by microsoft.

More people seem to have xbox 360's than PS3's so more of his friends will have them. PS3 is free to play online, xbox you have to pay (not a lot, 30 a year if u hunt around) PS3 also plays blu-rays, xbox you can get chipped to play copies but it won't go online and you may need further updates to keep it playing the newer ones.

xbox i'd say is probably the more popular - but as for which is better? there's an endless debate about it.....

This is simple, like i always say.

XBox360 - Online - Hardcore serious Gamers.
PS3 - Laid back family type of system with extra non gaming features.

PS3 is serious gamer too?

i've got 1 recently broken - repaired the laser and i'm deciding whether to keep it for my son whos 6 - but there's not many younger/family games at all.

if u want younger family games - a Wii and a portable hard drive are spot on.

in my opinion, and only my opinion..

back in the day, ive always been a playstation fan. PS1, PS2.. i did buy a original xbox.. but only to get it chipped (as i knew someone to do it cheap at the time) and to do the games myself.. from then on, ive never looked back!

i now own a xbox 360, modded, play it online and download my own games (however, its only a matter of time until i get banned from live, which im fully aware of)

i cannot say the PS3 is better and i cannot say the XBOX360 is better, its all personal preference!

ide so like to say that the PS3 is better.. as ive always been a Playstation fan (and the day it gets modded to play backups, ill definately be purchasing one!)

But honestly, i cannot say its better, ide say they are both perfectly the same, you either love xbox, or hate them..
