Thank you kindly, Bill. Members like yourself make for the general improvement in the community. And welcome to the gang .

Not entirely sure of what you meant here mate.

If I understand you correctly, the reason for this is that the vast majority of the people who've donated so far have either been Mods/Admin or Respected Members. Only a small amount of people (such as yourselves) have dug into their pockets so far to promote our community.

As you can understand, the hierarchy is Admin > Mods > Respected/VIP > General members.... Hence, it doesn't make sense in changing colours for Admin/Mods and downgrading them. It, however, does make sense in upgrading a general member to a VIP colour scheme.

Hopefully, the confusion's been addressed above. There's no ulterior motives/ignorant people/tight fisted misers out here mate .

Hope that makes sense and answers your question(s)... now quit thinking so much and enjoy yourself ;p !

Yup,i fully understand thre heirachy and the meaning of the colours..admin/mod/etc..wot i mean,is if you look now at the members online, there are 3 peeps on here that have kindly donated to the site, the other 100+ are green ,so registered users...surely this percentage as to go up,sure ya visited other forums...the percentage rate of members that are vip and have donated is way ,way higher...hence my comment.....there either really tite or the message that donations are really important, aint getting across.
Im sure theyd think twice if they tried to log on to the site tomoz, and it wasnt here, which i know wont happen..but that is point that needs putting across...Sorry for thinking, but peeps need to understand this.

Your points are very true bill but the thing is we cant be forceful..we understand that every donation is great for the admins as they then have to pay less but maybe the memories of cableferret are fresh in some minds hence the reason some people may not be donating..
But im sure as the forum grows more and more people will definately donate!
Cheers for your donation anyway bill pal, im sure the management appreciate it!

Hi sadiq..hows things,,

Admin shouldnt have to dig in there pockets for nothing, the time that is spent, running and managing forums of this nature is payment enuff, loss of social life/relationships/etc is the highest payment anyone can pay..trust me ive been there and still am..anyway since we been talkin and discussing this ,ther figure seems to have rose from 160 to to its present value..so maybe the thread was worthwhile..take care pal....no more posts from me on this matter..

Gotcha! Sorry mate... am a bit slow... so if you type REALLY slow next time, I think I'll understand much better .

Think you may have a good point there. But, we've still got a while to go for the year to end and I'm pretty sure we'll get close to (if not cross it) the required amount. Failing which, we'll try and push this down people's throats .

The point I was trying to make earlier (before our discussion) was to make the VIP membership so cheap (£5-10/year?) that it doesn't hurt people's pockets and more people can join the section. Thus at least guaranteeing a basic amount for us to work upwards from. Every drop counts .

Could someone please validate my donation? The money's left my bank account but it doesn't seem to have been recognised by ukcvs.
